Onset of Winter
04:29
|
|
||
With the changing of seasons
They line up behind me
And scatter at the sight of the storm
Like widows of blind men
They circle the stones
It's the fear of madness
That keeps them awake at night
Their illusions are frail
Like fingers of frost
It's the duty of martyrs
To end the rattling of chains
To break the ominous silence
After the pyre burns out
Ghouls without faces
Black holes for eyes
They feed in the darkness
The carrion is their prize
At the onset of darkness
Our march is at an end
Cairns and shrines
To the one open eye
Are what remain
After this winter
More faces to bury
Beneath the ruins
New masters to follow
At the onset of darkness

Sea of Disbelief
05:25
|
|
||
From blackness we commence our stride
We launch a futile Crusade
To a place unbeknownst
Blinded from the instance of first breath
Reminded of the ever present creeping death
Precarious existence
Drowned in the sea of disbelief
We bear our fatal burden
Like a crown adorned with rust and verdigris
Our sight begins to open
Not before we learn to look away
Unanswerable questions
Gnawing through a pyretic mind
One insignificant suggestion
Could spark alteration in all mankind
The cure, if there ever was one,
Is to breathe, remain, bequeath
A terrifying roar
The one who does good
In expectation of gratitude
Is worse than the greediest of loan sharks

Breath of a Dying God
05:25
|
|
||
Ah, awakened from the black dawn,
never before have I seen this world in such light,
transcending both shade and light, beyond life and death,
beyond sorrow and joy where only pure existence lies
Still as the golden waters
The mind is at ease
Of Erfat to serenity I submit
Finally the drop has become one with the whole
Pain eternal
Transcend and rise above
Still as the golden waters
The breath of a dying god
As you struggle to find a way out of this maze called life,
grappling in the dark, lost without direction
I can hear the breath of this dying god
so weak and tired from this endless search
Open your eyes and see through the veil
Past and future are mere illusions
Your hopes are only distractions
Life is nothing but a dream passing fast
Until death claims you
In surrender and sensitivity one will attain
Transcend and rise above the rotting corpse of a dying god

Soothing Silence
05:16
|
|
||
Into soothing silence I lapse
With a weary glazed stare
Lone are the footprints now
Delivarence found in pain
Whose sins am I atoning for?
Whose lapses must I undo?
Clothed with longing
Wearing sorrow day and night
I was born in sleet and snow
I've grown numb in the cold
Angushed from the sole being
Mislaid till the end of time
Wretched is my lot here
I'm forced down by this world
Dwelling in guilt and regret
Just a grim castaway
Graceful tunes on her lips have past to silence
Compelled to cherish the beauty in longing
The world is a barrow shrouded in black
I curse this ill-fated trail
There once was a time
When I resounded by your side
There once was a time
When I trembled under your eyes
Like sand slipping trough my fingers, nothing ever lasts
For the summer's dreams are bent and the songs are made of loss
Long are the evenings now, no terms with the days
No leading to walk aside the path paved with bitter thoughts
No tunes chime under the grasp of smothering grief
No rays of light lingers amidst the fathomless dark
Save me
I've lost the sun
Downhearted is the tune
Ill-lucked dweller in plight

Subtile Satire
05:14
|
|
||
I suffered
I strained
I suffocated
To attain
A subtle satire
Ecstatic pain
Pledged to my desire
Never to roam this plane again
My repose has been thwarted
My gaze undistorted
Nerves scream, heart ill-assorted
Soul is bruised yet reimported
A fractured spine is standing tall
The outside world now looking small
Abyssal steps, could this be all?
Thanatos has denied my call
Broken
Denied
What had been stolen
I’ll surely find
I inflicted suffering
I caused this strain
I asphyxiate you
For my own gain
Broken
Denied
What had been stolen
I’ll surely find
This is how it flows
From beginning till the end
Blood stolen from old gods
May the new ones it offend
This is how it goes
Resurrected in constrain
This is how it starts
Again and again

Forms of Evening Mist
04:59
|
|
||
Oh, spawning sun,
Bring forth your defiled hearth
Unfurl the narcissism
Enslaved by lucid visions
By the gloomy sea you roam
In shrouding veil of dusk you sought
So in forms of evening mist I shall come
But not to set you free
Oh, burning sun,
Urn us to incineration
Through the break of day scorch your way
But you inherit nothing
Then sunk into the ocean
Under the relentless waves
In escaping daylight
You are in all-consuming dark
The black of night corrupts the love
Foul things reach out for blood
All we find is black despair
It drains all the strength to fight
Lost in the shadow lap
Mere remnants of the distant past
Distrust killed all the kindness
As we bear the grim longing
As we bring the night closer
It`s far easier to be cruel
Erosion of the mind
Seems to be enough to make us blind
A tale of marred souls fallen down
Nevermore shall we walk together
Under the plaintive sky
A place that took our dreams away
Where silence rules forever
And if you ever dare to shine
I will be long since gone
Cast down thy gloomy shadows
Thrust me into the endless night
And benight this last day
Oh, dying sun,
Deceive what once was caressed
Only the defeat remains
Rebirth through devastation
Heed to the ghosts that still dwell in the soul
Far away from the world's betrayals, far away from the rays of light
In escaping daylight we are one with the greatest yearning
In all-consuming dark we are none but a broken promise
